Positive Behavior Intervention & Support

We believe that children are most successful academically, socially, and emotionally when they are in a safe learning environment.  We establish this by setting clear behavioral expectations and specifically teaching them to every student.  Our students learn to become self-directed and responsible, striving to meet these expectations and monitoring their own growth and success.

Our school is very fortunate to participate in the District-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).  PBIS focuses on supporting students in identifying positive behaviors and exhibiting these throughout the school environment and in relation to everyone, peers and adults.

The Jefferson behavior expectations practiced across all environments in school are:
I Am Respectful          I Am Safe          I Am Responsible           I Am a Team player

We have weekly and monthly student recognitions and rewards.
